The Senior Salesforce Developer plays a critical leadership role in maintaining the performance, scalability, and reliability of our Salesforce platform while guiding the development team toward high standards in code quality and technical excellence. This role involves hands-on development, technical troubleshooting, mentoring junior developers, conducting peer code reviews, and driving solutions that follow industry best practices.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on development and technical leadership across CPQ, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud
  • Translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions using LWC, AURA, Apex, SOQL, SOSL, and declarative tools
  • Champion and enforce development best practices, design patterns, and secure coding standards
  • Lead and participate in peer code reviews to ensure adherence to code quality standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues using Apex logs, debugging tools, and replication techniques
  • Act as a key contributor in deployment planning, execution, monitoring, and post-deployment support
  • Manage bug fixes and production incidents with a focus on stability and performance
  • Mentor junior developers through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge-sharing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver impactful solutions
  • Support communication and work coordination across Eastern and Pacific Time zones
  • Implement and maintain integrations with third-party systems via REST/SOAP APIs and middleware tools
  • Maintain clean, well-organized technical and functional documentation for scalability and auditing
  • Contribute to system optimization efforts and environment management
  • Stay up to date with Salesforce releases, new features, and emerging technologies
  • Recommend and implement platform innovations that drive business value and user experience improvements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field
  • At least one advanced Salesforce certification (e.g., Platform Developer I/II, Integration Architect, etc)
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce development, including production support and enhancements across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
  • Deep expertise in Apex, LWC, Lightning Component frameworks, Batch Apex, and Salesforce integration patterns.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, security model, and data design.
  • Experience with administrative functionality such as permission sets/sharing settings, role/profiles, FLS, OWDs, Reports/Dashboards, Flows, and approval processes
  • Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD)
  • Experience with DevOps tools (Copado, Gearset), version control systems (GitHub, BitBucket), including branching, conflict resolution and release pipelines.
  • Designed and implemented event-driven architectures using Salesforce Platform Events and Change Data Capture (CDC) to enable real-time data synchronization across integrated systems.
  • Skilled in performing root cause analysis and writing comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Experience managing production and sandbox environments with proper governance.
  • Proven experience mentoring developers and leading technical initiatives.
  • Experience with CPQ or Revenue Cloud, including configuration, pricing rules, product bundling, quote-to-cash automation, and integration with external ERP and billing systems.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, or equivalent tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to balance long-term architectural vision with day-to-day development tasks.
  • Experience with any one of the following Salesforce AppExchange products: Docusign, Aria, Fielo, SurveyMonkey, or Five-9.
  • Experience with implementation of governance/technical policies to make Salesforce SOX compliant.
