​​The Ecosystem Developer is a role that will work on proof of concept, scope of work creation and sustaining support for internal and externally developed Q-SYS Plug ins. Additionally, will be one the leaders of the QSC developer & technical community which plays a key role in achieving QSC’s growth objectives by focusing on the creation and execution of solutions with QSC’s 3rd Party ISV/IHV partners.

The Ecosystem Developer will work closely with other members of the Alliances & Ecosystem team and drive cross-functional engagement across Q-SYS Product, Marketing, and Engineering to grow and manage our developer and ISV/IHV engagements through the community platform. 

Base Pay Range 90,000 - 120,000

The above reflects the pay range that QSC reasonably expects to pay for this role. This pay range also depends on various factors such as job duties and requirements, relevant experience and skills and geographic location. Q-SYS integration work

• Build Proof of Concept control integrations with key partner products and offerings
• Creation of a scope of work for internal or external development of Q-SYS plug ins, scripts, APIs, etc.
• Coordinate development process and deliverables of current software projects to meet timeline and project needs
• Provide feedback from developers to our product and engineering teams to improve technology and usability​ 

Increase and reinforce Q-SYS Ecosystem engagement

• Demonstrate the value proposition to the technical community by creating and implementing outbound programs that attract new members and grow the Q-SYS ecosystem
• Interact and engage regularly with community members to provide developer enablement and mentoring
• Deliver sample solutions, and discussions to community members to drive adoption and thus become external advocates for QSC
• Maintain an active presence in social media channels to establish thought leadership that’s relevant to developers and technical influencers

Alliance and Ecosystem Team support

• Support on-going Alliance and Ecosystem Team projects and market activities
• Create technical focused blog posts for QSC partnership blog
• Represent QSC at tradeshows, partner events and summits

• BA/BS preferred, but not required
• IT and/or AV industry certification preferred, but not required
• 6+ years experience in the AV Integration industry with emphasis in control programming
• Prior experience with QSYS control platforms highly desired
• Hands-on experience writing code in a modern programming language, such as Lua, C++, JSON, etc.
• Prior experience building plugins for Q-SYS 
• Experience writing technical scopes of work documents
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting specific deadlines
• Knowledge of agile software development is a plus, but not required
• Proven ability to work in a cross-functional environment to ensure consensus and drive execution
