Overview

The Q-SYS Technical Trainer works under the supervision and direction of the National Field Training Manager but operates autonomously to conduct regularly scheduled Q-SYS live classroom trainings (including advanced Q-SYS courses like Q-SYS Level 2 and Control and UCI Intermediate and Advanced) This position serves as the primary instructor for in-person training in a new state of art Training Room in the Costa Mesa, CA Experience Center. Q-SYS has a long reputation for delivering even the most technical training in a lighthearted and fun environment with a teaching philosophy that empowers the individual to solve problems during the journey rather than just follow along. The Technical Trainer conducts administrative responsibilities associated with scheduling, communicating, and preparing for each class.

 

Base Pay Range 100,000 - 130,000

The above reflects the pay range that QSC reasonably expects to pay for this role. This pay range also depends on various factors such as job duties and requirements, relevant experience and skills and geographic location. In addition to the base salary range, QSC offers a comprehensive package including but not limited to health benefits, 401K or Roth retirement plans, generous time off and profit sharing.

 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary trainer for in classroom training for our integrator and end-user community in a performative nature with confidence, charisma and a deep knowledge of the curriculum
  • Deliver content that involves advanced audio DSP concepts, user interface creation, and control programing topics
  • Serve as a brand ambassador to lead customer demonstrations of new technologies for both in person and remote participants
  • Perform basic maintenance and notify support team of any issues in training room and experience centers integrated technology
  • Maintain sustaining efforts on existing training materials (i.e. training syllabi, student textbook) to reflect the constant evolution of the Q-SYS Platform
  • Participates in training discovery meetings and brainstorming sessions

Qualifications

  • High level communication and performance skills required to synthesize complex product and Audio, Video and Control related concepts from a prepared lesson plan
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in education, computer science, audio engineering and/or electronics
  • Familiarity with low code and full code programing in Lua is preferred with experience in other C-family programing languages such as C#, C++, Java and Python also considered
  • Experience in delivering interactive technology in person is preferred
  • Firm understanding of Q-SYS Platform and Q-SYS Designer Software is a plus
  • Other manufacturer certification is a plus (Crestron, AMX, Extron)
