Overview

QSC is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Project Analyst to help support our PMO through operational data analysis, project planning, forecasting, and project performance evaluation.  The project analyst will administer daily operational aspects of one or more ongoing projects; participates in project plan development. Integrates and analyzes project plans to ensure milestones and delivery requirements are met; ensures that all the key parties are advised. Participates in problem solving with project managers, program managers, and other team members. The project analyst will serve as the liaison between project manager, program manager and stakeholders, gather, analyze and communicate requirements, as well as gather critical data and support the project team with budget tracking.

 

Base Salary Range 75,000 – 105,000

 

The above reflects the pay range that QSC reasonably expects to pay for this role. This pay range also depends on various factors such as job duties and requirements, relevant experience and skills and geographic location. In addition to the base salary range, QSC offers a comprehensive package including but not limited to health benefits, 401K or Roth retirement plans and generous time off.

Responsibilities

  1. Create and maintain necessary metrics and dashboards to indicate program status and risks. Will be required to gather and analyze data from multiple engineering and planning databases. Other responsibilities may include coordinating the delivery of development platforms. May also stand in for the program/project manager.
  2. Will work closely with Program/Project Managers and engineers to assemble highly credible integrated schedules and forecasts in a complex development environment. These schedules must comprehend all relevant risks resulting from staffing constraints, dependencies, general integrity of schedules, etc.
  3. Analyzes cost and schedule variances and works as part of program team to recommend cost and schedule recovery strategies. Using strong data analysis and knowledge of MS tools to publish reports and drive successful execution.

Qualifications

Education: 

     Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science, or related discipline

     MBA is a plus

Experience:

    2-3 years as a project analyst or in a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency Excel (including Pivot Tables, dynamic dashboards, array functions, Power Pivots, VBA, etc.)
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Power BI, Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
  • Strong analysis skills (i.e. gather requirements, analyze metrics/data, effective problem solving and implement solutions with limited supervision, creating reports/presentations that are clear and concise)
  • Understanding of project planning methods/applications and SW Product lifecycles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate across business functions.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative, is proactive, and is able to prioritize multiple projects involving various end users by meeting deadlines and proactively communicating status updates.
  • Adaptable and quick to learn, eager to tackle new challenges, explore creative solutions, and gain hands-on experience through proactive engagement.
