The Sr Manager, Software Engineering (UC&C) will be responsible for leading Q-sys Unified Communication & Collaboration development.  The role oversees teams that build and enhance the Q-Sys UC&C software product portfolio.  Working closely with product management, stakeholders, and partners, this leader will drive delivery of Q-Sys UC&C roadmap that will revolutionize UC&C capabilities for the market.  With focus on customer experience driven software development, this leader will build excellence in software delivery by focusing on people, software best practices, and quality mindset.

Ideally we would like candidates to be near our Costa Mesa, CA or Boulder, CO or Fort Wayne, IN offices, but will consider remote candidates as well. 

Base Pay Range $162,000 - $213,000

The above reflects the pay range that QSC reasonably expects to pay for this role. This pay range also depends on various factors such as job duties and requirements, relevant experience and skills and geographic location. • Direct and oversee UC&C software engineering team to effectively develop world class UC&C experience for the customer.  As the domain expert, lead best in class agile software development practices to deliver the Q-SYS UC&C roadmap.
• Lead UC&C architecture strategy and direction working with product management, architect(s), and leveraging innovative technologies to deliver large scale UC&C capabilities.
• Working closely with Q-SYS product management establish Q-SYS UC&C design and experience focused features that deliver customer wow factor.
• Build and enhance high performing software engineering organization that will consistently deliver on time with quality.
• Enhance key metrics to consistently build software quality, customer value, and experience.
• Collaborate across QSC and third-party vendors to achieve customer experience that will drive market leadership. 
• Build high performing UC&C teams that thrive on excellence and great customer experience.

• 10+ years’ experience leading technology research, UC&C product development, or software development teams, preferably in the UC&C or AV industry.
• BS, MS in computer science, engineering, or closely related field, master’s degree preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage large scale software development organization delivering high value.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams across different software disciplines.
• Superior communication (written & oral) skills and ability to drive collaboration with finite results.
• Proven track record in delivering high quality software leveraging agile development practices and methodologies.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and consistently meeting deadlines.
• Strong experience in UC&C technologies and market.
• Technical knowledge of embedded architecture, development, and collaboration applications.
• Experience with software integration with Team, Zoom, and Meet a plus.
• Experience with Android embedded device integrations a plus.
• Technical knowledge of cloud integration of UC&C applications, and/or AV industry a plus.
• Business acumen – understanding of the UC&C industry a plus.
• Customer-focused design practices mindset that deliver great experience.
• Ability to identify and translate customer needs that envision forward-thinking solutions.
• Ability to translate corporate strategy and goals into finite actions for realization.
• Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas up, down, and across the organization.
