Overview

QSC aims to become a leader in AI across the enterprise and seeks a Sr. Enterprise Architect to guide our enterprise technology to realize that vision.  The Enterprise Architect will be the  ’glue’ that integrates the project and program strategies across multiple programs and projects and ensures alignment with business strategies and drivers, along with management priorities.  This individual will set the direction and will establish the approach for integrating information applications and programs across the entirety of the enterprise.  They will be responsible for the cataloging, development, coordination, communication and maintenance of all the aspects of the Enterprise to perform all business and technology related activities as it pertains to current and new functions of the corporation.

 

Base Salary Range 188,000 – 220,000

 

The above reflects the pay range that QSC reasonably expects to pay for this role. This pay range also depends on various factors such as job duties and requirements, relevant experience and skills and geographic location. In addition to the base salary range, QSC offers a comprehensive package including but not limited to health benefits, 401K or Roth retirement plans, generous time off and profit sharing

Responsibilities

Vision setting and expertise

  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business leaders to understand architectural decisions and impact
  • Provide leadership and expertise in the development, maintenance, and governance of enterprise architecture guidelines and design patterns to ensure the reliability and scalability of the application ecosystem.

Planning and Design

  • Develop and maintain technical roadmaps to guide the evolution of the application ecosystem from current to future states, aligning with strategic and business capability roadmaps
  • Design and implement integration platforms to facilitate seamless data flow and interoperability between disparate systems.
  • Drive application portfolio health programs focused on identifying, mitigating, and eliminating technical debt and security hardening where appropriate.
  • Evaluate new applications and platforms to ensure alignment with the organization’s technology and governance strategies, policies, and standards from business, application, data, solution, and technology perspectives.
  • Develop and maintain system diagrams that illustrate the relationship between business value, capabilities, and technology

Execution

  • Deliver proof-of-concepts, provide advice on coding practices, attend meetings with vendors, evaluate vendors and technology, and perform architecture and code reviews
  • Contribute to large-scale, enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, overseeing technical aspects from current state assessments through delivery and execution.
  • Lead all aspects of the evaluation and selection of software and SaaS solutions as well as the design of standard application configuration of these packages
  • Co-lead with development leaders to drive end to end, integrated implementation of major solutions (e.g., data infrastructure, middleware)

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Cloud Architecture or Engineering Certifications Preferred
  3. 10 or more years as an IT professional with proven experience as an Enteprise Architect
  4. Demonstrated knowledge in data migration, governance, pipeline and quality
  5. Experience with designing best-in-class standards for integration patterns across systems to ensure seamless data and information flow
  6. Experience with enterprise middleware (iPaaS) and integration patterns is required.
  7. Experience with leading ERP systems such as Oracle
  • Strong cloud data architecture knowledge (preference for Microsoft Azure)
  • Experience developing architecture strategies and plans to enable cloud data transformation, MDM, data governance, and data science capabilities.
  • Design reusable data architecture and best practices to support batch/streaming ingestion, efficient batch, real-time, and near Real Time integration/ETL, integrating quality rules, and structuring data for analytic consumption by end uses.
  • Ability to lead software evaluations including RFP development, capabilities assessment, formal scoring models, and delivery of executive presentations supporting a final recommendation.
  • Well versed in the Data domains (Data Warehousing, Data Governance, MDM, Data Quality, Data Standards, Data Catalog, Analytics, BI, Operational Data Store, Metadata, Unstructured Data, non-traditional data and multi-media, ETL, ESB).
  • Experience with cloud data technologies such as Azure data factory, Azure Data Fabric, Azure storage, Azure data lake storage, Azure data bricks, Azure AD, Azure ML etc.
  • Experience with big data technologies
  • Salesforce Architecture Knowledge: understanding of Salesforce (SFDC) architecture, including multi-org strategies and customization best practices.
  • Strong understanding of data engineering practices, data warehousing solutions, and analytics tools.
  • Cybersecurity: Understanding of security best practices including authentication, authorization, encryption, integration key management, and logging.
  • Technical Debt Management: Significant experience in leading efforts to identify, monitor, and strategically reduce technical debt across the enterprise.
  • Proficiency with Development and Collaboration Tools: Strong proficiency in using Git, Confluence, Jira, or equivalent tools for version control, documentation, project management, and enterprise architecture.
