Overview

The Hardware Engineering intern will partner with fellow interns and the broader Hardware Engineering team at QSC. The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, qualification testing, and troubleshooting in the AV industry and will be based in our Costa Mesa, Ca. corporate office.

Throughout the course of the QSC 2024 Summer Internship Program (10 weeks beginning June 24 and ending August 30) interns will work on-site, occasionally virtually if the opportunity arises, and have regular events, weekly lunch and learn sessions and receive training customized by our business units. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights into the technical side of QSC. The interns will understand first-hand what a career with QSC is like and will have the opportunity to build a cross-functional professional network. 

The estimated range for this role is $23-$25 per hour.

The above reflects the pay range that QSC reasonably expects to pay for this role. This pay range also depends on various factors such as job duties and requirements, relevant experience and skills and geographic location.

Responsibilities

  • Learning to use essential engineering tools.
  • Engaging in testing and troubleshooting for new product development across multiple product lines.
  • Capturing data measurements, documenting data measurements, and collaborating with the design team.
  • Developing systematic approaches for debugging and troubleshooting and applying them during testing.
  • Gaining mastery in soldering techniques and providing support for PCB rework activities.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science or a related field
  • Data capture and analysis
  • Some basic exposure to AI is preferred
  • Interest in the AV industry
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn
