  • Overview

    QSC is searching for a Field Sales Engineer, APAC whose primary responsibility is to support the selling efforts of QSC’s Systems Direct Dealers, Systems Integrators and Distributors in Singapore, Indonesia & Malaysia.

     

    The position will provide systems sales and technical support to our channel partners, consultants and prospective users within the AV integration community.

    Duties will involve;

    1. Pre-Sales system design and specification
    2. Post-Sales hardware and software troubleshooting
    3. Onsite product training and seminars.

    This position requires broad and comprehensive experience in Audio, Video, and Control (AVC) Systems Integration over a wide range of market segments but with particular focus in Corporate AV applications, including networking, telephony, video conferencing and control implementation.

    The candidate must be able to;

    1. Develop an in-depth knowledge of the organization’s products, policies, and practices.
    2. Manage sensitive information, both commercial and technical, discreetly and confidentially. 
    3. Work professionally with all levels of employees and interface well with external professionals, end users, consultants, distributors, dealers and systems integrators.
    4. Demonstrate exceptional communication, presentation and teamwork skills.

    The position is home office based in Singapore, although frequent travel to Indonesia, Malaysia, and S.E Asian regional locations will be required as well as occasional visits to the USA and or European offices & locations for training and exhibitions.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide pre and post sales technical and product support to distributors, dealers and other various associations as required.
    • Incident Tracking reporting and monitoring
    • Phone, email and forum support for all QSC Systems products
    • Monitor industry and competitive market trends.
    • Q-SYS Training/certification
    • Participate in regional and local trade shows, demonstrations, seminars and customer product training.
    • Assist and influence Product Development by acquiring and reporting application, use-case and customer requirements information
    • Prepare written correspondence, documents, special reports, presentation materials and other documents in appropriate formats using word processing, spreadsheet and/or PowerPoint.
    • Coordinate sales lead with the Regional Manager- APAC.
    • Develop consultative relationships with existing and new customers.
    • Work on any special projects as requested/assigned by supervisor
    • Assist all members of the QSC sales department as necessary to achieve the department’s performance goals as well as QSC’s corporate goals.
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Candidate must be located within S.E Asia ideally in Singapore, Malaysia or Indonesia.
    • Must be fluent in English.  Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia/Malaysia would be a plus
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the professional audio video industry or associated industries
    • Experience as an AVC Systems Engineer, Contractor and/or Consultant is highly desirable
    • Audio Visual industry certifications in CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D are a strong plus
    • IT industry networking certifications such as CCNA or CCDA are highly desirable
    • Must be fluent with computer technologies, networked audio systems, and DSP technology
    • Experience with LUA scripting or similar is highly desirable
    • Experience with third-party control integration (AMX, Crestron, etc) is highly desirable
    • A working knowledge of EASE 4.0 is desirable
    • Possesses strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting specific deadlines
    • Excellent writing and editing skills
    • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
    • Detail oriented
    • Ability to make decisions within the designated area of responsibility
