  • Overview

    QSC, LLC is looking for a Product Manager for its Amplifier portfolio of products. The ideal candidate is a product champion with an entrepreneurial orientation possessing an excellent technical and business acumen. You will have complete “cradle to grave” ownership of Amplifier products for QSC’s Cinema, Professional and Systems businesses. You are someone who is able to analyze markets, formulate a vision, communicate/sell it internally and externally to all stakeholders, and drive execution. You are able to identify market and product requirements, define user needs and use cases and ultimately responsible for the business case and product launch. You have proven skills in working with internal staff; Executives, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Support, and external stakeholders; System Integrators, Designers and QSC Channel Partners.


    • Own multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Conduct research to gather deep insight into user requirements and applications. Frequent focused discussion and interaction with end users, integrators, system designers and channel partners within the assigned area of responsibility.
    • Create and communicate product vision and roadmap.
    • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders to conceive new products and champion their development.
    • Product Ownership; creates and maintains requirements and business case documents required for proposed and in-progress development programs.
    • Own business case creation and tracking through conceptualization to launch.
    • Maintain a thorough understanding of competitive products’ functionality and is effectively articulate QSC’s value proposition over the competition.
    • Drive execution by clarifying specifications, use-cases, and address issues in a proactive, solution-oriented manner.
    • Attend trade shows, national and International events, sales events and meetings, dealer events, and other related activities as deemed necessary.
    • Drives market communications and training material development with content and direction.
    • Willingness to travel. Approximately 25 - 30% travel required, including International travel.


    • Bachelor’s in Engineering with 10+ years’ experience. MBA preferred.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in product management, technical marketing, advanced applications engineering, technical end user, or sales – preferably within Professional Audio, Consumer Electronics or Technology industry.
    • Deep experience in the professional AV industry as a manufacturer, integrator, consultant, end user or marketer of professional AV/IT products.
    • A demonstrated history of successfully contributing to new product development and Product Management discipline.
    • Experience in audio, power and amplification technologies.
    • Specialized knowledge of the Global AV Integration market and understanding of customer relationships such as end users, integrators and consultants.
    • Proficient with Agile/SCRUM methodology, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite very desirable.

    Vision and insight: Must have insight into market needs and be able to create a product vision and roadmap to meet the needs.


    Planning: Must be able to think ahead, develop comprehensive launch plans and set short and long-term goals.


    Management: Must have the ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple priorities. Must be comfortable working in a matrix management environment with dedicated product development teams.


    Teamwork: Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work and corroborate within a core development team.


    Financial: Must be sufficiently proficient to create, maintain and understand the business case for assigned products.


    Technology: The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of amplification and power technologies, audio DSP, technologies and software applications.
