  • Overview

    QSC is searching for a Supplier Quality Manager will be a working manager and will lead a team of supplier quality engineers responsible to assure outgoing quality from our network of international suppliers (currently China, Taiwan, and Indonesia.)

    Responsibilities

    • Lead and develop an effective supplier quality management function.
    • Able to travel without restriction to China, Taiwan, and Indonesia required.
    • Plan and organize work activities and lead staff to execute tasks to assure quality at suppliers. Determine process readiness, measure and improve process capability, and measure and improve process effectiveness.
    • Develop and maintain standardized processes for measuring, reporting, and improving supplier quality performance.
    • Develop and maintain standardized processes for supplier auditing, including process auditing and finished-goods auditing.
    • Establish processes, plans, and schedules to support supplier-proposed process changes
    • Contact window and first-responder for supplier process failures
    • Develop and implement process performance criteria to evaluate the readiness of new products to move from New Product Introduction status to Sustaining Production status.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • B.S. degree in a technical discipline (ME, EE, or Industrial Engineering with a specialty in Quality, preferred)
    • Working knowledge of key quality subject matter elements:
      • Problem identification and solving tools
      • Document control
      • Quality audits and corrective action processes
      • Process failure modes and effects analysis
      • Process performance and process capability
      • Understanding and interpretation of drawings and specifications
      • Process control design
      • Metrology (calibration).
    • Minimum 5-years’ experience managing supplier quality performance at contract manufacturers desired. (Contract manufacturers could include system assembly manufacturers and/or design and build manufacturers.)
    • Experienced with process control practices in the following types of operations desired: PCBA assembly, plastic injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, wood cabinet fabrication, system assembly, and test.
    • Professional audio industry with transducer experience is a plus.
    • Experience managing a remote staff is desired.
    • Bilingual (English/Chinese) is required.
